The suitable trekking season for Yading Big Kora is from June to October, and the most beautiful scenery is the azalea blooming in earlytomid June and the alpine color forest in midtolate October.There are more sunny weather in June and October, and the probability of seeing holy mountains is greater. In July,August, there is more rain, warm temperatures, and lush green vegetation.

DAY 1 Arrival at Shangri-La Town, and Gear&Equipment check

Arrival at Daocheng Yading airport and transfer to   Shangri-La town, check-in Holiday Inn hotel( or same class).   We will have Gear&Equipment check and hold itinerary berifing,also sign the trekking agreement.

Food: Welcome dinner, self-resonsible for breakfast&lunch

Accommodation: Shangri-La Holiday Inn hotel, twin-bed room

Time: 128km, 3 hours by driving between airport and Shangri-La town

Altitude:   Shangri-La Town 2900m

DAY 2 Shangri-La Town—GaLuo Village— ChaGong Cattle Farm

Take car for 120km from Shangri-La town to GaLuo village, newly naming Shangri-La village in Muli County, which is also the starting point of Mr. Joseph Rock's exploration journey to Yading a century ago. After lunch, switch to off-road vehicle to reach start point, then hike to ChaGong cattle farm, along with the stunning view of ShaNuoDuoJi Peak ahead, enjoying a wide and beautiful landscape. Arrive at ChaGong cattle farm in the afternoon.

Food: Three Meals

Accommodation:   ChaGong Cattle Farm Camping

Time: 2 hours trekking for 4km, up 300m and down 220m

Altitude: ChaGong Cattle Farm 4450m

DAY 3 ChaGong Cattle Farm—ShaNuoDuoJi Pass— Wanhua Pool Cattle Farm

After breakfast, we will across several streams to the foot of the holy mountain - ShaNuoDuoJi.   Wildflowers and azalea flowers are dotted along the way in the summer, and change to colorful forests in the autumn. After that, we will trek through the primitive jungle and cross the ShaNuo Duoji Pass at 4500m to reach the Wanhua Pool cattle farm campsite.

Accommodation:   Wanhua Pool Cattle Farm Camping

Time: 6-7 hours trekking for 11km, up 450m and down 600m

Altitude:   Wanhua Pool Cattle Farm 4250m

DAY 4 Wanhua Pool Cattle Farm -5KM-Mountain Pass-7KM- Xingguo Cattle Farm

Today's scenery is very beautiful, but also a challenge day! We will climb up from the southern slope of ShaNuoDuoji Mountain and cross over the 4683m mountain pass. After crossing, will go down to 4100m level then go up a 4400m forest pass, finally down to Xingguo Cattle Farm under the southern slope of YangMaiYong, a famous holy mountain.

Accommodation: Xingguo Cattel Farm Camping

Time: 7 hours trekking for 12km,up 750m and down 750m

Altitude: Xingguo Cattle Farm 4250m

DAY 5 Xingguo Cattle Farm-7KM-Black Lake-8KM- Snake Lake

Today's scenery is also very beautiful, firstly crossing 4 mountain passes with 4500-4760 meters , after the highest 4760m pass, you will see the Black Lake meanwhile going down and pass by signature Butterfly Rock, go up and go down the Snake Lake mountain pass (4690m), finally arrive in Snake Lake, will camp at beautiful lakeside where you can see two holy mountains: YangMaiYong and XianNaiRi.

Food: Three Meals

Accommodation: Snake Lake Camping

Time: 8 hours trekking for 15km,up 750m and down 500m

Altitude: Snake Lake Camp 4400m

DAY 6 Snake Lake — TongDing Village — Shangri-La Town

After breakfast, depart from Snake Lake campsite, hike down along mountain trail, and get on the waiting car in the TongDing village. Take transportation along the G664 highway, over the ErChu Mountain and back to Shangri-La town.

Food: Three meals

Accommodation: Shangri-La Holiday Inn hotel, twin-bed room

Time: 3 hours trekking for 9km, up 150m and down 1800m

Altitude: Shangri-La Town 2900m

DAY 7 Yading Scenic Area: Milk Lake—Five -color Lake—Pearl Lake —Shangri-La Town

Hiking inside Yading scenic area today. In the morning, take the scenic sightseeing bus to LuoRong Cattle Farm, climb up slowly, and arrive at the famous Milk Lake and Fivecolor Lake. Above the Fivecolor Lake, you can have a view of the two sacred mountains of XiaNuoDuoJi and YangMaiYong. On the way back, to visit Chongu Temple and Pearl Lake. Finally, take the scenic sightseeing bus back to Shangri-La Town. Now,you would complete the whole trekking of Yading Big Kora!

Time: 6 hours trekking for 12km, up 750m and down 750m 80km by driving in Yading Scenic Area         

Altitude: Shangri-La Town 2900m

DAY 8 Departure from Shangri-La Town

Today will depart from ShangriLa town.Team members who leave by flight will be arranged to be sent to Daocheng Yading Airport, and team members with next journey will make at their own trip.

Food: Breakfast

Accommodation: Self-managed

Time: 128km, 3 hours driving to the airport

【PUBLIC EQUIPMENT】

Canteen tents (400cm*400cm*190cm), tables, chairs, cookware, food, fuel, walkie-talkies, satellite phones, power banks, emergency oxygen and medicine. Camping tent and mattress for members.

【REQUIREMENT】

18- 65 years old, the member must physically fit to the trekking, any major physical injuries, undergone surgery,   chronic disease etc information must declare. Prior trekking or camping in altitude above 4000m is a must.

Precautions for registration:

Participants must be healthy and not having heart disease, hypertension, asthma, mental illness and other diseases.

All the participants need to follow the organization of the trip leaders. Otherwise you should bear your own consequences caused by your own behaviors. We hereby declare that Masherbrum will not have any joint liability of the unpredictable accidents caused by Environment or any accidents caused by the participants’ mistake during the trip.

The deposit payment 2000CNYshould be paid 30 days before DAY 1 for the reservation your place. The remaining payment should be done before DAY 1.The payment refund will not happen due to member personal reason.
