NiSe'e尼色娥

NiSe'e 5,564m, chinese name 尼色峨, it is newly finding snow mountain in china, belongs to the Daxue Mountain Range, located about 19 kilometers north of Xieka village, Jiulong County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in western Sichuan, China. NiSe'e is is a Tibetan mountain name, which means "white mountain". Because its mountain shape resembles a white Yak that wants to rise in the sky, it is known as the "White Yak of the East". NiSe'e exists a north-south direction, divided into four wall faces, and there are several glacier on the slopes of the east wall and the south wall. NiSe'e is classified as the entrance level snow mountain which is suitable for climbing enthusiasts who have 4000m+ high altitude trekking or climbing experience. NiSe'e was first ascended by one Chinese group in November, 2022

Climing route

The best climbing season is autumn. There are 2 camps, base camp and camp 1 in the traditional route. The route approaches the mountain from Xieka town, takes local jeep to the base camp at 4050m, trekking to C1 at 4800m. From camp1, you need go up snow slopes, the last part to the summit is requested by roped-up group.

Itinerary

TIME

6 Days

Day 1: Arrive in Chengdu(500m), Check-in hotel.

Today will equipment check, briefing and sigh in agreement.

Day 2: Drive to Xieka village (540km), overnight stay in local guesthouse (3100m)

Driving to MianNing/Kangdingcounty through expressway. After lunch, continue to drive to XieKa village. We will overnight stay in local village guesthouse.

Day 3: Xieka village to base camp (4050m)

We will take local jeep/car to the base camp. After arriving in base camp and lunch, climbing team will have pre-climbing training.

Day 4: Base camp to Camp 1 (4800m)

It treks 3-4 hours to Camp1. Team members only need to carry their own small bag. Big luggage is carried by horse.

Day 5: Summit day(5564m), back to Xieka village

Get up at 2:00 am and leave at 3:00. The summit takes 5-6 hours, and then descending to C1 and Base camp, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of snow mountain. Take local jeep to Xieka village.

Day 6: Drive back to Chengdu (500m)

Today drive back Chengdu in same way(540km). Return flight suggests booking after 22:00pm or next day.

Special Reminder

1. Risk Reminder

NiSe'e 5,564m is considered to be one of the entrance snow peaks of among 5,000m peaks in China, however every mountaineer who has decided to participate in an expedition must realize that an ascent of this mountain is an adventure activity and so it poses certain health and life risks. She/he takes full personal responsibility for the decision to participate in this expedition, any act or failure to act during it and all the possible consequences of this decision.

2 Cancellations and Transfers

Expeditions will usually only take place if a minimum of 4 people join the Expedition.Should this minimum not be reached, we may, in our absolute discretion, cancel the Expedition. If we elect to cancel the Expedition as your exclusive remedy, you may choose to be: refunded in full; or transferred to another of our expeditions ;or transferred to another operator’s expedition, whereupon the Price shall be adjusted by us to reflect the new expedition’s advertised price.

Camping: Sleeping bag (comfort rating -10°C)， Trekking boots，Mattress

Clothing: Waterproof jacket, Waterproof over trousers, Down jacket, Raincoat, Fleece jacket and trouser, 2 underwear, 3 pairs of thermal socks, Waterproof down gloves, Fleece gloves, warm hat, sunhat

Bags: Backpack 60 L +, Small bag 30L, Duffle bag 100-120L(optional)

Drinking: Thermal mug（1L）

Eating: personal bowl in Camp1

Accessories: Hiking stick, Gaiters, Snow Goggles (spare sunglass), Headtorch with batteries, Washbag, Sun protection

Technical gears: Mountain boots(5000-6000m level), Gaiters(optional), Crampons, Long Ice axe, Harness, Helmet, Ascender, ATC Descender, 4 Carabiners，Daisy chain or cowstail

2 Packed Lunches (Chocolate,nuts,energy bar, bread etc).

Renting price for the full set of techinical equipment is 800CNY.

【Requirement】

20-65 years old. The member should have prior 4000m+ high altitude trekking/camping/climbing experience, must physically fit to the climbing sports, any major physical injuries, undergone surgery, chronic disease etc information must declare beforehand.

【Registration Procedure】

Registration Deadline: 20 days before the start date of each group

The down payment 2000CNY should be made by the registration deadline and the remaining payment will be paid before or on arrival; the payment refund will not happen due to member personal reason after Day1.
