Camping in the Sea of Flowers - Jiuding Shan Hiking 2 Days

DAY 1 Chengdu -Jiuding Shan - Camp 5km (3600m)

DAY 2 Camp - Pass (3850m) - White Dragon Pool 8km - Chengdu

DAY 1 Chengdu-Wenchuan-Jiuding Shan- Camping Grassland 5km (3600m)

Departure from Chengdu Hotel in the morning, drive to Jiuding Shan via Dujiangyan and Wenchuan. Hiking starts at 2900m level, along the forest trail and hike up to the grassland, you will meet a lot of wildflowers on the way, finally arrive at the camping site in the mountain grassland at 3600m.

Food: Lunch&Dinner, self-responsible for breakfast

Accommodation:Grassland Camping, Comportable Tent( 2 persons share one tent)

Time: 4 hours by driving, 4-5 hours hiking for 5km

Altitude: Hiking Start Point 2900m Camping Grassland 3600m

DAY 2 Camp -   Black Dragon Pool Pass(3850m)-White Dragon Pool 8km - Chengdu

We get up early and hike to Black Dragon Pool(3800m) via mountain pass 3850m where is a good

place for sunrise view, some beautiful flowers in the lakeside. Then we hike down to White Dragon Pool(3300m), it is another famous mountain lake in Jiuding Shan.   Eventually, we will take our bus back to Chengdu at the evening.

Note: Considering that there may be traffic control or traffic jams on the way back to Chengdu, your onwards flight should be scheduled in the midnight or next day.

Food: Breakfast and lunch,self-responsible for dinner

Accommodation: Self-responsible

Time: 4 hours by driving, 4-5 hours hiking for 8km

Altitude: Black Dragon Pool 3800m White Dragon Pool 3300m

【PERSONAL EQUIPMENT】

Backpack 30-40L

Clothing: Waterproof jacket, Fleece jacket, hiking pants and fleece trouser, Fleece cap,

Gloves(optional) , 2+pairs of socks

Shoes and other accessories: Sunglasses, Stick, Thermal mug（0.5-1L）Hiking shoes , Gaiters,

Sunscreen (SPF30+), Headtorch (with sparebattery), Raincoat

【PUBLIC EQUIPMENT】

Canteen tents , tables, chairs, cookware, food, fuel, walkie-talkies, satellite phones, emergency oxygen and medicine. Sleeping bag, Camping tent and mattress for members.

【REQUIREMENT】

18-65 years old.

The member must physically fit to the hiking, any major physical injuries, undergone surgery,   chronic disease etc information must declare. Prior hiking or camping in altitude above 3000m would be a plus.

Precautions for registration:

Participants must be healthy and not having heart disease, hypertension, asthma, mental illness and other diseases.

All the participants need to follow the organization of the guide. Otherwise you should bear your own consequences caused by your own behaviors. We hereby declare that Masherbrum will not have any joint liability of the unpredictable accidents caused by Environment or any accidents caused by the participants’ mistake during the trip.

【PAYMENT】

The deposit payment 500CNY should be paid 20 days before DAY 1 for the reservation your place. The remaining payment should be done before DAY 1.The payment refund will not happen due to member personal reason.
