Jiuding Shan(九顶山）is located in Maoxian County, Sichuan Province, 180km away from Chengdu, Jiuding means “nine continuous peaks”,the highest elevation (Lion King) is 4984 meters. It is famous for its attractive peaks, trees, snowy mountains, valleys, meadows, lakes and rich culture of the Jie and Qiang, ancient nationalities of China.
Jiuding Shan is also famous for its stunning view of the sea of flowers in the summer. From May to July, rhododendrons, primroses,irises, aster flowers, delphinium flowers, Pedicularis pubescens, velvet artemisia, Cymbidium cypress, etc., the wildflowers at different altitude looks like a colorful alpine garden. Sichuan Jiuding Shan Nature Reserve was established because of its biodiversity. We will also hike to Black Dragon Pool and White Dragon Pool, two mountain lakes.

【ITINERARY】
DAY1 Chengdu-Wenchuan-Jiuding Shan- Camping Grassland
Departure from Chengdu Hotel in the morning, drive to Jiuding Shan via Dujiangyan and Wenchuan. Hiking starts at 2900m level, along the forest trail and hike up to the grassland, you will meet a lot of wildflowers on the way, finally arrive at the camping site in the mountain grassland at 3600m.
Food: Dinner, self-responsible for break&lunch
Accommodation: Grassland Camping
Time: 4 hours by driving, 4-5 hours hiking for 5km
Altitude: Hiking Start Point 2900m Camping Grassland 3600m
DAY2 Black Dragon Pool-White Dragon Pool - Chengdu
We get up early and hike to Black Dragon Pool(3800m) where is a good place for sunrise view, some beautiful flowers in the lakeside. Then we hike down to White Dragon Pool(3300m), it is another famous mountain lake in Jiuding Shan. Eventually, we will take our bus back to Chengdu Masherbrum Outdoor Hotel at evening.
Note: Considering that there may be traffic control or traffic jams on the way back to Chengdu, your onwards flight should be scheduled in the midnight or next day.
Food: Breakfast, self-responsible for lunch and dinner

Time: 4 hours by driving, 4-5 hours hiking for 8km

【REQUIREMENT】
Outdoor enthusiasts aged 18-65 years old, having the high altitude camping experience would be a plus.
【PAYMENT】
The downpayment 500CNY should be made by 15 days and remaining payment should be done before the departure of Chengdu. All payments will NOT be refundable after trip starts due to personalreasons.
